Bidrage med feedbackTLDR:Avoid hotel if possible Overall stay; 1/5 Bed 1/5 Cleanliness 2/5 15 min walk to train station (sketchy neighborhood, especially at night) Staff: 0/5 We couldn't sleep, we had 3 different rooms all or which were way too hot to sleep in. We understand that they turn it off in non summer months but last time I check June was a summer month. Not only that, the room advertised AC. When we said something to management about turning on the AC, they laughed at us instead of taking the issue seriously.
I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at Hôtel des Arcades de Cachan Grand Paris Sud, and I have to express my disappointment. I specifically chose this hotel because of the assurance of air conditioning on their website. The hotel's claim of having air conditioning turned out to be a complete lie, leaving me to stay through a hot and uncomfortable stay on my first night. Despite my best efforts to seek assistance from the hotel staff and adjust the thermostat, the room remained hot. Adding insult to injury, the hotel staff's response to my complaint was utterly dismissive and at a certain point laughed at. After an hour of arguing with the front desk we finally got them to send someone to turn on the a/c the NEXT day until 3pm! I strongly advise prospective guests to steer clear of this place until they either address this issue or at least update their website to reflect accurate information. It is unacceptable to mislead guests about essential amenities like air conditioning and they need to set the expectation that you will not be walking into a cool room.
This hotel is a good compromise between the price and the distance from the center of Paris. We happened during the painting phase of the hotel rooms and during our 5 night stay we had to breathe the smell of paint ... For the rest everything was ok .
I wish i could rate this hotel better but it has some major things it needs to fix mainly the bug infestation they most certainly have. I was only there two days and had to deal with many lady bugs being in the room and a cockaroach on top of that. I cant say if the cocharoach was a fluke or not but they definitely have a lady bug infestation and though there are worse bugs than lady bugs an infestation is an infestation and i would not stay here again unless i knew that had been dealt with. I was also quite uneasy with the fact that the doors had no chain or separate deadbolt from the automatic lock. I duno if this is a france thing but i dont know if ive ever stayed at a hotel that didnt have the option to securely lock yourself in. This means that anyone with the master key could walk in at anytime which was not a great feeling. They didnt even have peep holes in the doors, so I just didnt feel very secure in the hotel room. Im also having to do alot of work to get my choice hotel points from this stay because they havent done some admin work they are suppose to do so it goes through which is of course annoying and unprofessional of them. Pros of the hotel were free parking, the hotel staff was nice enough even though they werent that helpful when we were asking questions about the area, and though it was outside of paris it was walkable to the train to get into the city. The zone was zone 3 i think so getting a multiday pass wasnt too expensive either.
Very nice place. It was my first time in France and in Paris most hotels are expensive on holidays. That's the reason I booked this hotel. I know the prices varies by season but mine it was only €98 a room for maximum 3 people. It is very nice and clean hotel and rooms, for the price you paid, it worth every penny. Just little far from the center of Paris. A taxi will charge around $30 to get you at the center.
