The Queens Arms - Buxton

Really friendly service. Food was absolutely delicious. Homemade pie was 10/10. Just what we needed mid ramble.

Enjoying a pint or a meal at the Queens Arms is a must when staying in lovely Taddington. Cozy space, friendly locals and the amazing Jane making sure everyone is comfortable and made to feel at home. We had a wonderful meal on Sunday night and made sure to go back every night during our stay. It was such a pleasure not be in a chain establishment for once, it 's vital that we support locally owned businesses when we can. The Queens Arms is a gem in one of the most beautiful parts of the U.K. I so look forward to going back.

We arrived at the restaurant just around their opening time after a long walk from the campsite where we were staying. With four dogs in tow, we were a bit uncertain about how dog-friendly the place would be, but the bar staff greeted us warmly regardless of the number of our canine companions. The beer selection was quite good, and the Spanish beer they offered was particularly excellent. The food was absolutely fantastic, freshly cooked to order, and the homemade chips that came with the steak were delicious. For dessert, we tried the Bakewell pudding, which was also delightful and offered good value for the price. Although our dogs were a bit noisy when new people entered the bar area, the staff remained friendly and accommodating, without showing any irritation. Overall, it was a really pleasant and high-quality experience that we hope to repeat in the near future.

This is a fantastic pub with a wonderful atmosphere, friendly staff, and amazing food. I will definitely be coming back!
