Bidrage med feedbackI love this small shop in Bury St Edmunds. It has a nice range of treats like Booja Booja truffles, chocolates, crisps, Follow your heart products, vegan cheeses, specialty tofu, etc. They stock teas, beauty products, cleaning supplies, supplements, herbs and spices, canned goods, and other specialty items that are hard to find at major grocery stores. I love this tiny shop but the staff can be a bit rigid at times. One woman in particular loves to stare at customers intently which has made me uncomfortable many occasions! Love the shop itself nonetheless.
Really friendly, helpful staff and a great range of vegan products for a fairly small shop. They had 3 different kinds of Veganaise, flavoured tofus, vegan breads, lots of gluten free products and they also stock locally made CBD oil.
I popped in here one Saturday when I was feeling down and really struggling with my health. I Have a rare autoimmune disorder that has caused severe nerve pain in my spine and nerve endings in my skin. I had seen their A-board about CBD Oil and I casually asked the lady behind the counter to tell me about it. She was very helpful and genuine, and advised me on the different types and strengths, as well as sizes and prices. We had a super positive conversation, and I told her that depending on the results of a doctors appointment that week I would be back. I bought the BLUE ? CBD oil which is the weakest for pain, and it’s been a miracle. The pain subsided for the first time in years and I have been able to sleep properly since day 1 taking it. I cannot thank Bodhi Tree enough for their advice and support when I needed it so much, and for providing such amazing products. I will definitely be seeing them regularly!
I loved this store when it was Butterworths.. friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff with happy regulars. The woman who bought it and renamed it The Bodhi Tree is simply rude! I gave her a few chances to prove me wrong, but after a dozen visits, have given up. When she 's not ignoring you, she condecends, snaps and looks down her nose. She interferes when other staff are trying to serve. She has left me speechless on a couple of occasions, one of which was when my partner, a councillor, asked of she 'd like to offer a small token gift voucher for an event to raise awareness of poverty. Her response, rather than politely declining, was a straight 'No! ', followed by, as she turned her back and walked away 'You must be joking! '. Horrible woman. No heart at all, and absolutely no manners. I 'd prefer not to line her pockets. A real shame as the store was a little gem before. Now, I 'd rather buy online.
I was left speechless during one encounter when my partner, who is a council chairman, asked her if she would be willing to donate something for an event aimed at helping the less fortunate. Instead of responding politely, she bluntly said no, then added, as she walked away, "They must be joking!" It's truly appalling. She seems to have no empathy and lacks basic manners. I would rather not deal with her at all. It’s a real shame because this place was once a gem. I think I’ll just stick to online shopping from now on.
