Bidrage med feedbackThis Yum Cha joint is the latest edition located inside Burwood Emerald Shopping Centre. We had 6 dishes just to try them out. We were not completely satisfied with standard of the "Sui Mai", "Har Goa", steam Beef tribes, steam "Char Sui Cheon Fun", steam Fish Cake on fried Toh Foo and braised chicken feet. The Chinese tea wasn't hot but served luke warm. The only positive feedback is the service and the seating of the restaurant were good.
A bustling restaurant nestled in the inner heart of Burwood Plaza. What makes this place better than others? The food tastes better than mediocre at a good price. So you don't have to pay $$$ to enjoy this yum cha. We waited 15 minutes on a late weekend, which apparently was fortunate considering how popular this restaurant is.The ambience is warm with a clean modern interior. I was surprised to see the wave feature ceiling. All the food and service was great. A slight disappointment was ordering the rice noodle roll pot with "supreme sauce" which was lacking in flavor and sauce was non existent and missing out on the essential prawn dumplings. Exceptional dishes that exceeded expectations was the chicken feet and xiaomai/ dim sum. Recommend beating the crowd for another visit.
The restaurant is new and good dinning environment. Went there for dinner, they offer really cheap live seafood, $18.80 for half kg mud crab, had it done with garlic pepper butter sauce, it was so yummy! Loved the steamed Oyster with XO sauce too. The restaurant is really really popular, so many people, we had to wait for some time for service and food but it's worth the wait I would say.
Surprisingly small, this restaurant packs a punch when it comes to serving fantastic French cuisine. Their walnut soup is the real deal.
After reading reviews from other customers, we decided to make reservations for A la Biche au Bois. When we arrived, a table was already prepared for us outside.
