Bidrage med feedbackHad 2 salad rolls, orange smoothie and 2 spring rolls delivered to RCH. I'm in the hospital waiting for spinal fusion and can't pull out of my bed. This restaurant came to my Skip The Dishes with high reviews . The spring rolls were delicious and crispy. The salad roll, packed with decent quantities of meat. Two sauces on the side were included. Definitely a beautiful tribute to Vietnamese food.
After eating from places in the South Burnaby and New Westminster area, I have gradually expanded my reach to areas around the Burnaby/Coquitlam border. This area is known especially for many Korean restaurants, but I wasn't really in the mood for Korean so I stopped by Pho Capital. Like most restaurants in this area, Pho Capital is located in a rather undescribed Mini Mall. The restaurant was not very busy during my visit at noon on a weekday, but I'm not sure if things pick up later on the day. I ordered the #14 Pho Noodle soup with eye of Round Steak, Fatty Beef Brisket, Soft Beef Tendon, and Beef Tripe $8.50 for a small bowl) also known as Pho Tai, Gau, Gan, Sach. Almost immediately after my order, the waitress was back on my table with my meal and a plate of bean sprouts, basil, lime wedge and Jalapeño slices. The Pho was something with a few pieces of rare beef that I am happy when I pho). Below there were many thinly shaved pieces of Brisket and a few pieces of tendon and tripe. The broth was pretty good and I think I would come back to try some of their other articles. As it turned out, I came back about 4 months later and ordered the Marinated Lemongrass Pork Slices and Fried Spring Roll with Veggies $11.75) or Bun Thit Nurong, Cha Gio. The crispy feather roll was made with a crystal clear wrapper and the bowl was quite large with many crushed cabbage underneath). There was something lacking in taste, but it was simply enough to kick things with the table sauces on a notch. As with my last noodle soup here, the Bun Bo Hue came $10.99 for big), which I ordered at the end of the year, really fast out. Interestingly, while I was hit with the aroma of this soup as soon as it arrived at my table, it was not excessively spicy and I grabbed the table sauces to kick it on a notch. In the bowl there are thin slices of ham, good-done flank and pieces of chicken balls. The thick, rounded noodles were pretty good and had a nice chewing gum to bite. At my last visit I decided to be fine for the Marinated Grilled Lemongrass Chicken and Pork Chop on Rice $12.75), which I found to be a bit dry. Similar to lemongrass pig, there was a lack of taste that required the use of the table side sauces. Overall, a rather no-nonsense vietnamese decor with somewhat dampened aromas. Note: You only accept cash or debit.
Huge part and great price! All menu items are very good, bovine brisket noodle, roasted roll and pork Vermicelli bowl are my favorites.
We went by and ordered the chicken pork Vermicelli bowls. The meat tasted okay. They had cabbage with the pickled carrots, bean sprouts.
Not easy to access (if you are on the wrong side of the road), minimalistic decor. Very fresh tasting salad rolls and very tasty beef pho. Friendly and prompt service. Reasonably priced.
