New Starlet Seafood - Burnaby

I had a fantastic experience at this dim sum place! The service was impeccable, and even though at 2pm, there was a waiting line, which I believe speaks volumes about its popularity.The dim sum dishes were delicious and staff was attentive and friendly, making sure we had a great experience. We especially loved Brown Sugar Sponge Cake – it was a burst of flavors!Overall, a must-visit for dim sum enthusiasts. I'll definitely be coming back for more!

This is usually one of my favourite items at dim sum; however, the dumpling wrapper on this one was so sticky and gooey that it stuck to the basket when I tried to pick it up with my chopsticks. By the time I managed to finally pry it off and get it on to my plate, the dumpling was completely disassembled. It was a deconstructed Shrimp Dumpling so I had to pop the prawn and wrapper into my mouth separately; I really prefer being able to pop them both into my mouth at once!Other than the Shrimp Dumpling, everything else was fantastic. I tried some items that I'd never tried before and everything was really tasty. This was quite an impressive spread, and I would happily come here for dim sum again. Good services. Ordinary atmosphere.Good food. But seems that a bit too salty.

I visited Joyful seafood restaurant with high expectations, but I was disappointed by the food and the service. The restaurant claims to offer fresh and delicious seafood dishes, but I found them to be too salty and poorly presented. The fish was overcooked, the shrimp was rubbery, and the sauce was bland. The portions were also small for the price.The service was not much better. The waiter was rude and impatient, and he forgot to bring us water and napkins. He also mixed up our orders and charged us for items we did not order. When we complained, he did not apologize or offer to fix the mistake. He just shrugged and walked away.I do not recommend Joyful seafood restaurant to anyone who is looking for a satisfying and enjoyable dining experience. It is a waste of time and money. There are many other seafood restaurants in the area that offer better food and service. Joyful seafood restaurant is not one of them.

Great Chinese seafood restaurant!Plenty of seafood!We had the 2 course duck, lobster, etc., the food was amazing! Delicious and exactly as I would like! Worth every penny.In addition to this, the service was friendly, fast and helpful! Not always the case at Chinese restaurants.They spoke English, Cantonese, and Mandarin freely!Highly recommend this place.It was busy, so you know it's good, make a reservation and you'll be in and out with a happy belly!
