Nam Vegan Express - Burnaby

Small café in a strip-mall with ALL vegan appies, nets, soups and a dessert. I expected more given the big reviews, but was chosen by some of the meals we chose. The Bao rolls and rice rolls were great as appetizers and very good price. For a duck, the filled eggplant was well made and super delicious. We did not enjoy the sweet and sour chicken and lemongrass chicken at all. Both dishes floated in the sauce and we didn't have the mock meat. Overall, I would return to try some of the other dishes to avoid V-meat dishes For Veggies. Updated by previous rating on 2023-02-04

Here for lunch with a colleague and ended up ordering so much amazing food that we both are sick about food. Can't wait to go back. The apps are incredible! You need to try the vegan shrimp soooo well. The fresh salad rolls and Bao stems are quite delicious. The vegan Pho was delicious, but the sweet and sour chicken was not so good. Definitely worth your time. You have to go!

I visit this restaurant every weekend. The prices are very affordable and the portions are generous. My favorite dishes are the salad rolls with pork, the delicious vegan fish, and the flavorful coconut curry noodles. Overall, all the dishes are excellent.
