La Forêt - Burnaby

The food surprised my expectations and the menu was quite unique. I enjoyed the bulgogi sandwich on squid ink bread and we also got the chicken platter. The vanilla lavender drink was really good. The natural lighting and all the plants made this a niceplace to visit, hangout and take pictures. I wish I could try some of the cakes.

Lovely spot with amazing conception! So spacious with high ceiling and skylights where natural lighting, a nice mini-tropical forest in the centre of the space, plenty of seating options including a concrete bench, modern decor, wide food and beverageoptions. Tried the chicken and waffles. Looks amazing! Chicken was tasty and cut into handy bitesize pieces. Waffles also weredelicious. On the other hand, it?s pricey : The LONG waiting time could upset you though. Looking forward to seeing morelocations.

The aesthetic of la Foret is second to very few. A lot of thought went into it.While there is often a long queue getting through the till and ordering is usually quite quick. The only fall down is waiting on the food or coffee. The food can take some time as it is a popular spot but the coffee is simply slow compared to the other offers. And you have to stand and wait. Not necessarily conducive to a pleasant lunch experience. Worse, invariably the coffees are not exceptional.But as an overall experience it is quite good and the design makes up for a lot of shortcomings. It is a true pleasure to relax there.

Very beautiful interior design and lovely atmosphere. Very busy so keep that in mind. Food is ok. Nothing crazy. It's nice to try once specially to satisfy the sweet tooth. Staff are nice but you have to bring your food and clean your table so you don't really interact with them anyway.Parking: It's so busy so hard to find parking

Loved everything about this cafe. Vibes are so aesthetically cute. Tried their Earl Grey Croissant and macchiato, highly recommending them. It gets very busy but there is enough seating inside, even to accommodate larger groups. Ample amount of parking is available in the front or the rear side of the cafe. Also, close connectivity to the metro
