Bidrage med feedbackThe noodle soup with large intestine is delicious. Known as chitterling in the English-speaking world and tripas in my home country, the intestine is full of flavor. The soup is also excellent.
A friend had recommended the spicy wontons at this restaurant, so I decided to stop by while I was at the Crystal Mall. They only offered it for takeout, but the dish was delicious. The order came with 12 well-sized wontons with a thin, smooth wrapper and a light, juicy filling. I asked for it to be less spicy, but it still had a good kick and was garnished with peanuts and green onions. It seemed to be a popular dish as many other diners around us were also ordering it. I will definitely be returning, as I heard the noodles are also a must-try.
Wow, I am obsessed with spicy food and this dish is absolutely amazing. If you enjoy spicy food and noodles, you must visit Crystal Mall. Try ordering dish #7 and prepare for a flavor explosion. The noodles have the perfect texture – soft and chewy – and are loaded with chili and bits of pork. There are no vegetables in this dish, but who needs them anyway? Just kidding, I actually love veggies. This dish is definitely worth the $7 price tag. Stay tuned for reviews of two other meals from a different stand. Warning: this dish is so good, I've already got two of my friends hooked on it. That's how delicious it is.
I would say very very interesting food that my friend recommended me to this place. I did tried their dumpling because it seems like from the menu they are recommending the dumpling/sui jiao. Their dumpling was good i 'll say the texture of the outer layer flour is a little bit thicker than what i would like it to be, however it 's chewy, which is nice, and the meat inside it 's meaty enough but not not juicy enough and the flavor didn 't really explode it 's rather subtle. However my friend recommended me the special noodle, can 't remember which number it 's now, when i first see it i was a little dissapointed because the noodle does seem really plain. It seems like it 's only a noodle with sauce and a little bit of green onion.however... after the first bite then I realize that all sorts of goodness is happening on the sauce of the noodle. the noodle is also tangy and firm that it 's at it 's best state for dry noodle. The sauce though, it 's filled with spicy szhechuan flavor 'ma la ' that 's what they called it). it 's sort of stings right in the nose and makes you salivate a lot. not much meat in the portion and the price is around the ball park of $7- $8 for the noodle if i 'm not mistaken and Cash only! but for the flavor i 'll definitely recommend this place. and I 'll definitely be a loyal customer if they have their noodle 2.5x more than the original portion :DD overall it 's a good experience.
Another gem in the Crystal Mall food court! They 're famous for their spicy wontons, but they make hand pulled noodles! Chao Shou Wang in mandarin translates to 'Wonton King! ' Chao Shou Wang has been around for a while, I 've somehow never gotten around to trying it...until today! They 're known for their spicy wontons and hand pulled noodles! Just look around the food court, you 'll usually spot a number of tables with this dish! Spicy Wontons (12 pieces) 3.5/5 stars I kid you not, everytime I go to Crystal Mall I see every other table with a plate of these spicy wontons haha! You can choose your level of spiciness, and I went with mild. It wasn 't spicy from heat, but rather more along the lines of 'mai la, ' which is mouth numbing spiciness. I was quite pleased with the wonton skins, it was rather thin and wasn 't doughy at all! The pork filling was well seasoned, and rather lean. It was garnished with a substantional amount of green onion, with some bak choy. Sesame Cold Noodles 3/5 s
