Dave & Nancy's Fish and Chips

Excellent food. Deep fried fish, French fries and shrimp. A little surprise no clam chowder, but other than that worth the stop.

Really great fish and chips. The staff was really personable and friendly. The owner came to the table, very passionate about his fish and chips and described what makes their fish and chips different. I'd say definitely the best fish and chips in Burlington and I can't even remember better anywhere else. The only negative is it's a little expensive. I've gone back, but I go more to treat myself. If it was less expensive I'd go much more often. I'm writing this because I really would love them to lower the price so I could go more often.

Dave & Nacy is very near our house, so one day we decided to drive there. They make you feel very welcome, and the place is clean and is very nice for lunch since they have big windows to have proper light. The portions are good, we ask for poutine and fish and chips, it was very tasty and fresh.Highly recommend!

Real great tasting Halibut fish not batter......excellent people. Would highly recommend. From a maritimer who knows.

Having been raised in a British Coastal Town and working as a young lad in a typical english style "Chip Shop" I do tend to now my "Fish & Chips" Therefore, when I comment on Dave & Nancy's Fish & Chips, I comment with experience and first hand knowledge of this wonderful traditionally British Meal. My friend and I arrived and were greeted by friendly staff and seated immediately. We could have had take out also but, it was important for me to see how things worked. We browsed the varied menu and decided to order The Halibut & Chips. The server, a young pleasant lady, offered us advice on the menu and suggested other items to complement the meal ordered. Our meals were severed within minutes as were other patrons whom arrived at the same time. On arrival I noted the size to the portions to be more than adequate for most peoples appetites. A good portion of Halibut and a worthy portion of Chips (French Fries). The Halibut had a lite crispy batter that broke open under the fork to expose a delicately lite white fleshy meat that melted in your mouth. A lite fluffy taste that told me it was as fresh as you would find anywhere. The chips made from real potatoes ( P.E.I ) grown were and tasted as near as you could possibly find in a traditional english fish and chip shop and come to think about it as good as my old mom would make on a Monday Night for supper. Cover the chips with a lite drizzle of malt vinegar then a good pinch or two of salt, hope it's sea salt? Tip: Always vinegar first then salt, salt then sticks to chips better. The meal certainly perfectly prepared, well presented and definitely non greasy made me feel right at home. I'll give Dave & Nancy's Fish & Chips, a definite "YES"for a recommendation and a return visit with friends. April-29-2017 1800hrs.
