Clancy's Pub - Burlington

The staff is great to me and so is the kitchen because I've become a fan of their burger, fries and pint special .. This time I made it my own way you could say

The Clancy burger, fries and pint special was fantastic Great friendly service

Came here to see some of the live music, 20 Fingers did well, the letdown was the food, I had the fish and chips which was the special that night and what I was given to put it simply was complete garbage. The fish wasn't seasoned before it was battered, they also didn't seem to use the correct battering method which flours the fish first and then batters it which causes the batter to actually stick to the fish. What I ended up getting was a piece of fish that the batter had separated from, the batter itself was soaked with oil and soggy and the fish tasted of nothing. I sold fish for four years, I've eaten hundreds of pounds of it and to me the 'haddock' that they were selling seemed to taste more like pollock which can be a result of improperly seasoning it or because they want to cut costs and did actually use pollock.I wouldn't recommend the Fish and Chips to anyone, it's unfortunate that this is one of those pubs that needs to end up on Kitchen Nightmares because the rest of the experience was decent.

A bunch of us went for drinks at Clancy's. We sat down and waited for service.SERVICE: After waiting we hit the bar. Waiting about 10 minutes for a drink. At some point of the night we got cut off due to the fact of the whole whole party "not tipping" Needless to say to begin with this lady at the bar wasn't pleasant to begin with. After having a CAN of coke, I asked for a water. She was hesitant to even give me that. NEVER GET TAP WATER! It made me sick the next day. FOOD: Well... It's sad to say we didn't get any. They shut their kitchen down at 11pm on a Friday!!!Will not be back. This owner needs to get his head of... You know what and start running this place before it closes it's doors.

I had the Cajun Chicken Wrap and it was really tasty, only problem was that it came roughly 20 minutes after everyone else at my table had eaten. They did offer me a free pop to make up for it though. Overall the food was good but the service could use some work.
