Bidrage med feedbackWas looking for a Patio to visit with friends and we came across this pub. We were able to get a seat on their patio and it was covered with adequate shade from the sun. The only down spot I would have to give the patio is that when it started to get dark, there were no lights. The service was great as they made our table pretty quick from when we got there and the waitress was attentive and always helpful even though we took a while to actually order.Their special seemed to be a smash burger which they had 5/6 different versions of them. They all seemed pretty much the same but with slight variations of the toppings. They were good, albeit pretty messy. The rest of the food was good pub food.We didn't get any alcoholic beverages but they did seem to have an extensive selection. If you are looking for a good pub in Burlington, give Blk Swan a try. We would definitely be willing to go back.Kid-friendliness: They had a pretty good selection of kids menu and the portions were a good size
While my server was excellent, the food was lacking. I ordered the fish tacoswhich, though huge, were very disappointing. It was a challenge to find the 2 very tiny pieces of fish covered in a very large amount of batter and cole slaw. Though the tacos were advertised as a special, my personal preference is to pay a little more and enjoy the food.
What a great time we had! I hadn't been for about 10 years, and my friend had never been. What a wonderful atmosphere so supportive for all the singers and some really great voices: Rod, Noah, Spencer, one of the servers (I don't know her name, sorry! , and I guy who could sing Kings of Leon and nailed it!! (Don't have his name, but I'll find out foe next time. And 9:30pm is just the right timing for people, esp if you want to eat first or perhaps have some liquid courage to get ready for Karaoke!!Yes, that's me below doing Teenage Dirt bag by Wheatus. I'm pretty sure I surprised a lot of people. You rarely expect a 55 year old woman to sing Wheatus, me thinks. Go easy on me. Lol
I absolutely LOVE the Marble Rueben! It’s not available on Brant Street but I think you should offer it! So yummy! Also Elizabeth was an excellent server-hope to have her in the future!Parking: Easy to park! Lots of options!
Unfortunately, another restaurant that has not understood the importance of attentiveness to patrons.First drink orders were taken and delivered at a an expected pace. We ordered main course meals for 3, with no appetizers. Our first drinks were pretty much finished before any sign of our meals coming, which was a good 20 minutes; no follow or check-in on us. Meals arrived, yet first drinks were done; again no check-in for second round. Finally after the main course was well underway a second round of drink orders was taken. The main courses were finished and no second round of drinks served.I will complement two servers who were not serving our table, for stopping and asking if we had drinks ordered or not, clearly seeing our first round drinks were done.Attentiveness is critical. If the kitchen is busy or understaffed, let the patrons know. Offer alternatives even if really slow or behind. Silence is deadly. We noticed other patrons expressing some concern on time it was taking for service.Take a look down the block to the out of business Pump Patio and take note of running a business that patons will return to or not.Unfortunately we are not likely to return to this one.
