Burleigh Town Tavern - Burleigh Waters

I shouldn't share because we will never get a table. I am super critical in my reviews. Firstly today (Sunday) we were recommended to come half an hour later at 1pm. Thank you for doing that. No long queues. Food was brilliant. Kids had so much fun at the play area and jumping castle and face painting. THEY LOST ONE STAR because my grandson had his fingers jammed in games room door. PLEASE have this door remain open to avoid children being hurt. I was standing close by but was not quick enough

Great food. Place for kids to play but it is a big place so not annoying for people that don't have kids. I like going here for lunch. Always people here so you know it's good.

I have been here many times and it was always a good place for a cheap no frills meal. But we came down last week and were very impressed with the quality and price of our streaks. The service is ok although it could do with an improvement. Our steaks were cooked as requested, very tender and we were most pleased.

The lady behind the counter was very rude when it came to our children getting their included desserts. Our main meals were actually gross, I couldn't even finish my pasta that had no flavour at all. The veggies that came with one meal were still frozen. Will never go back, very disappointed

The young woman on cash register seemed to be in her own little world as my friend and I were both at the same table and gave her table number and then she asked both of us twice table number. As we both paid with our cards and asked for a receipt she then proceeded to ask us if we needed a receipt!! After ordering meals waitress came to me to apologise that the meal I had ordered was not available even though they were still advertising it on the "specials board". I picked a rump steak to be cooked "well done", just glad that I didn't ask for it rare as it was still very pink on the inside, very disappointing as we ate at this tavern two weeks ago and meal and staff were very good.
