Chili John's - Burbank

Been coming here since the late 70's . Great Chili The chicken over rice is AwesomeThe beef over spaghetti is Excellent.

Texas style chili on the best! As I said, I'm a native Texan, so I mean Chili and John's are right up there. The place is unique as its counter seat is only. All pots of Chili are located in the middle of the U-shaped counter. They have meat, chicken and vegetarian chili. You can order it in the degree of heat you want: mild, ass-burning or if you want it medium to mix them the two. If the hot isn't hot enough, you can throw Dave's hot gravy in your bowl. This place looks like he never moved in time, giving him a cool, retro feel. You can serve your chili via pinto beans, spaghetti, tamale, on a hot dog or between a Hamburger bungalow for what they call a sloppy John’s. You can ask for sour cream and cheese for a little extra. They offer onions, oysters crackers and peppers. Please call before you make the trip because they close all so often for weeks at a time that a CLOSED GONE FISHING sign hangs at the door.

This fucking place. I really don’t what to say. I’m mean really? You walked into this place and immediately you think this place is fucking gross. I heard all the hype about this place and by the looks of it it, I wasn’t sure. I ordered my food and took one bite. AND BOOM ! I was hooked! This place is amazingly delicious!!! The people are fun to chat with and the chili dog is out of this world. I give this a place a 10/10 !
