Rowers on the River Restaurant and Function Centre

For a small conference gathering of 30. good choices of food and a lovely location. Provided us with our own waitress and bar staff.

Aamazing garlic bread & even more amazing sticky date pudding perfect portion size for me as well anymore & I would have been sick. Shame the mains were quite bland they really need add something to lift the pastas? Maybe a simple Gremolata?Service was very organised giving us time in between courses but not to much time.

Rowers is clearly a local icon. It's been almost 20 years since I last had cause to dine in Bundaberg and back then this was the place I was brought to then.The staff were lovely, helpful, enthusiastic (although perhaps not as knowledgeable about the menu as you might hope). The menu offers a good range of options (including children's meals). The servings were generous in size. All this contained in a river front venue that's been an institution for decades. However: While the culinary ideas were sound, but the implementation felt a bit crude, flavours overdone, dishes a little too salty and lacking in subtle details. Having said that the duck skin crackling was absolutely amazing. There was a little too much mango seed in my mango (?) crumble. I left very full and fairly happy.

Returned for another dinner after not having been since last year. Very happy with delicious meal - great value deal which included dessert (yummy sticky date pudding). Garlic bread is by far the best I've had in a long time. Staff very friendly and helpful. Will be back.

Went to the Rower 's on Thursday 2nd February with another couple and were again blown away by the great food ,service and sensational view .... what great value $35 main course and included garlic bread and very nice sweets in the price .... The service was great Alice was very attentive and pleasant ...If your new to Bundaberg you could not do better than this exceptional Restaurant for a meal or a Function ...Have to say the garlic bread was the best i've ever had ...we re booked for Valentines Day...
