Bidrage med feedbackAs guests at the beautiful Villa La Moresca (look for my later review) we engaged the chef/owner of Cookobio, MariLu. She provided a memorable multi course meal, all fish and seafood (and desert) for 10 people at the Villa. Her incredible attention to our wishes and needs, from meeting personally with us, to finding just the fish we wanted, to sourcing our requested wines, to preparing and serving from the Villa kitchen was appreciated by us and by our guests. She made entertaining in a foreign country a breeze. A truly exceptional experience.
An exclusive experience. my friend danilo had spoken very well and I had high expectations, but I did not expect to find a dining room for or exclusive of us 4 friends and chef Marilù at our disposal. the menu has been agreed and the 4 courses (and also extra) have exceeded our expectations for freshness and quality of the ingredients but also for combinations of flavors. high quality wines do not fall well below the average of restaurants. Marilù enchanted us and pampered us. we will definitely return to find her
Attention to raw materials is the first concern of the owner who besides cooking also serves at the tables. an environment where the eye also wants its part, the dishes are refined and refined inside a room that brings us back to the beginning of the last century through various relics and collections. the table and the service are treated with maximum attention. the wines are excellent and the dishes are the result of the search and the good goto of the owner through the choice of ingredients mostly local and organic. a deviation in the village to beat absolutely to do by booking and expressing in advance the wishes of its palate.
Cookobio is not a classic restaurant, but rather invited to the house. the owner and Chef Marilù prepare their lunch or dinner after the ingredients they will find on the same day on the local market, most of the time from organic production, so it is important to book in advance to give their time to prepare a good and surprising menu. because they also use fish and meat, they must indicate at the time of booking that they have a vegan vegetarian menu and also all ingredients that they do not like to be used in their court preparation. once in the restaurant, Marilù will say what she has prepared for her meal, in which a four five cure menu from starters to dessert and they can choose to eat anything or a part of it. Even if there was a lot of food, I took the full Menù, which was really delicious. during their meal they can also be asked to try a new Marilù recipe to give their opinion about it for future guests, she is interested to expand her knowledge about vegan vegetarian dishes. everything is made to house including 3 4 different types of brot. the restaurant is not big, there are six or seven, I do not remember exactly great tables in a room that was previously a bakery, but it is cute and beautifully decorated. price are moderate about 30 40 euro per person including wine. as last tipp if they have 2 3 hours available, do not miss buggiano castello 3 km to the hill over borgo a buggiano and its lemon tree gardens.
