What can I say good? The ribs are amazing! The challenge is that I really want to try the chicken. Unfortunately, this place is either not open or if it is, they don 't have anything that 's on their menu. I live a mile down the road and have been so disappointed so manny times I no longer even stop in. Now I just I drive by here and waive on my way to Moonies BBQ in Flowery Branch and returning home. Today, I was smart enough to phone in. Here it is, 12:18 in the afternoon on a Saturday, and they are closing up already. He is either really wealthy or retired, and this is something he fiddles with as a hobby. I guess he has low overhead? LOL He should change his open hours to YOUR GUESS IS AS GOOD AS MINE! and menu items to YOU JUST NEVER KNOW . Nice enough guy. I am sure the chicken will be good if I ever happen to be gullible enough to stop in and see if they are open and serving any chicken. I won 't hold my breath. Neither should you. ?

The owner is a bbq fanatic. This is the only bbq restaurant I’ve been to that competes with my home made bbq. I’ve had the pulled pork, the brisket, and the Mac and cheese and everything is top notch. Oh, and I also had the Brunswick stew and it is the best I’ve had anywhere. Highly recommended!
We have been living in Buford for 3 years and we have been looking for good barbecue. I will say, The Black Pig is better than any of the chains in the area. I did call to make sure they had some meats left. It was a Saturday evening, so I figured they would be cleaned out. They had ribs left and a few cold sides, but no barbecue sauce?, which was fine. I prefer to eat ribs without sauce anyway. The ribs fell of the bone, they were delicious. The sides were ok. I gave it 4 stars because I feel like everything could have been seasoned better, but we will definitely be back. I really want to try the brisket.
