Waxlight A' Vin - Buffalo

A disappointing night for a highly anticipated dining experience. I reserved online, adding that it was for an Wedding Anniversary. They didn't even mention it when we were there. I don't expect drop $200 and leave still feeling hungry. Got two appetizers, an intermezzo to split, two entrees, and a split dessert. The most expensive entree did not even come with a side dish, which was expected; nor were sides offered on the menu. Dinner was delicious, but after everything still felt unsatisfied. The cheesecake tasted like actual cheese, which was weird. Open modern cool setup. The purple velvet couches scattered around the venue look great, work well for cocktails and light fare, but not good for dining. Hard to find signage though. Very good wine and cocktail list.

My husband and I love going to Waxlight for their wonderful cocktail/wine list as well as their innovative menu that is constantly changing. The owners and staff are thoughtful, considerate folks, and they work to ensure you and your party have the best experience possible.

Waxlight is a delight! The food is amazing. The service is on point, super friendly and the atmosphere is really nice. The menu is creative, cooked perfectly and the food pairing bang on. I highly recommend going to Waxlight if you love good food, an elevated yet down to earth service in a beautiful building. We will be back!

Waxlight is the best dining experience I have ever had. There is no better place to eat. The issue with many restaurants that serve food of this caliber is the feeling that the staff is silently judging you. The only thing Waxlight is trying to impress you with is the food.The dining area is open and comfortable, the music is at a level where you can still have a conversation, and the service feels as if your best friend was a sommelier.Then there’s the food. Holy god is it amazing. The only thing I will talk about is the chocolate gelato because it will certainly be differentSeriously, go to this restaurant. Eat there. Repeat.

Very interesting menu but the hostess needed to translate every item for us, as the descriptions do a terrible job of describing the food items. I've eaten at lots of restaurants and never seen a menu quite like this one. Was taken by friends and if I had read the menu online, I would have never gone there. Plus, the wine is extremely overpriced.With that said, the food was very good, the service was excellent and the place has a great vibe.
