Occidental Saloon - Buffalo

We love the Occidental Saloon. It is a favorite stop for a Bisonburger or beef tip and noodles. There is a lot of history to occupy the conversation while you wait until your food arrives, which can be a while when you are in the diner hour. ) Love the live music evenings. Plan to come early (very early) to sit at a table. Just remember that this saloon is the real deal. If you manage your expectations, you have a great experience.

I ordered the rib eye and my husband has the Bisonburger and they were both delicious at a very reasonable price. They were pretty busy for a Tuesday night, but we were waiting fast and they were friendly. This place has been there since 1880 and they had many cool old photos on the wall of 1880 and on. It had a great old feeling. They had people singing there that were good to hear, but I wouldn't go specifically there to hear them.

The attitude of the rude bartender/waitress stinks. For a supposedly Historic business in a tourist trap of a town. If you can't be friendly to everyone fine. If you can't smile to everyone fine. Then don't expect quality pay (tip)
