Salumeria Belsito - Buffalo

After having visited the restaurant for hours on a Sunday night, it was opened with an Italian Entree menu. When we arrived, there were no bullets there, just the bartender. I asked if they were opened for serving and he said they had only pizza on the menu and that he was also the cook. So the whole place was run on this evening, Sunday before Christmas by a very friendly young man who was bartender, the bigger, the cook, the server and the cashier. We were there for an hour and for us we made the best of it, but we hoped for a duck no pizza. Could we have gone, yes, but we had planned our evening with shopping and other final preparations for Christmas, so we had to use our time properly. The facility should have said something about Google or just stay closed. Shall we go back? I don't know.

I would like to preface this with saying that I really try to avoid giving negative reviews, but I've given this place like 4 tries at this point and every time the service is awful! The food is actually pretty good, specifically the spinach dip and the speck pizza. Unfortunately, the food does not make up for the catastrophe that is their service. I arrived before my boyfriend and order a drink an appetizer, which came pretty quickly, but it was one of the bartenders who took my order. But then nothing. Even after my boyfriend arrived, no one came to check on us or anything. I saw the tables around us getting service, but the waitress would not even look at our table and so I wasn't able to easily flag her down. We ended up deciding not to order food, and I went up to the bar to pay. I was there for almost two hours total and did not have a waitress at my table even once. This is quite similar to my other experiences as well. It seems as though the bar is the primary concern of management, while the food service is barely an afterthought. It's a shame, because the food has always been really good when you can actually order it.

I love this place, the pizza is delicious, real Italian pizza. and Lou, the bartender is a great guy, so warm and welcoming!

Awesome atmosphere and friendly staff!!! Great music and the food was simply AMAZING!!! The Hertel Ave pizza is a much have, and the steamed clams and ceviche are to die for!!!! We will be going back!!!
