Bidrage med feedbackGetting a mammogram was made slightly less unpleasant by discovering the Falafel Bar food truck outside Windsong Radiology 8/7/20. The guys were super friendly. I asked what time they'd be there until and told them I'd be back and probably over 1.5 hours later when I came back, they remembered me. They even were joking around trying to guess what I would order before I did. Their humor and friendliness was appreciated more than they could have known in that moment. I got a falafel wrap $9) and it was a really good size and good quality. Veggies were crisp and falafel was tasty. I wasn't expecting it to come in a burrito-style wrap, but it was still good, and honestly probably bigger than it would have been in a pita wrap. The only reason for 4 stars is because it was pretty soupy between the tahini and hummus and probably some liquid from the veggies. Overall, good quality and I'd definitely get it again, but just specify light on the condiments.
The food here was good. Nothing to rave about, but solid. Had the mushroom vegan wrap a little messy and too heavy on unflavored mushrooms. also tried the lentil soup and the Tuscan red bean soup both were okay but a little bland Also had a chicken souvlaki wrap, which was the best of the bunch, a solid 4/5. Might try again if I'm in the area, but tbh would probably try somewhere else.
Tried to go here a few Monday's ago and they were closed, got a taco next door and my guest went to sun. Went today, happy to see they are open for business, very friendly folks. But my falafel wrap is in a burrito shell. Maybe I ordered wrong? Will try again.
The Falafel Bar is located inside the Expo Market on Main Street between Tupper and Chippewa in downtown Buffalo. It's my first encounter at this walk up counter restaurant. Things got off to a slow start. The staff were busy in the kitchen so they didn't see me at first however, the employees from the taco place next door let them know I was there. It wasn't a problem at all and they were apologetic for the wait. The food as it turned out was very good. The menu on the chalkboard behind the counter was large and contains a multitude of wraps, salads sandwiches and burgers. Wraps/Sandwiches $9 Falafel Wrap Hummus Wrap Falafel Hummus Wrap Shawarma Wrap Gyro Wrap Three Sisters Wrap (Hummus, Gyro, Tomato, Fried Eggplant, Tahini) Israeli Wrap Lebanese Wrap Vegan Portobello Shawarma Pita Greek Lamb Burger Chicken Finger Wrap Salads $8 Add Falafel, Gyro, Chicken or Shawarma $3 Falafel Combo (Falafel, Hummus, Greek Salad) $12 Greek Salad Fatoush (Romaine, Tomato, Cucumber, Crispy Pita Chips, Zaatar) Starters/Sides Tzatziki, Hummus, Tabouli w/Pita $8 Falafel $7 Fries $3 Greek Fries $5 Soup (Lentil or Soup of the Day) $5 I had the Three Sisters Wrap it was delicious. The fried eggplant was a good compliment to the flavorful gyro meat and hummus. The tahini rounded out the sandwich nicely. Next I had the lentil soup which was full of lentil but lacks a stronger broth feeling. It seems watery but filling nonetheless. I added a side of souvlaki chicken meat and that was a grilled marinated moist enjoyable end to a very good meal. All in all a good experience! The Expo has five restaurants in all and I intend to return frequently. La divina taco heaven is right next door to the falafel bar and i have always enjoyed their fare.
The place was nestled in a indoor restaurant strip, the front counter woman was really nice, helpful and attentive. This is my first time in buffalo so it was nice to be greeted immediately. If you're in the area Falafel Bar is a good place to grab a bite from, I got the gyro wrap and regular fries for $13.05. Decent, refreshing, and worth it
