Bidrage med feedbackI had bought my wife tickets to see the Montreal Canadiens play the Buffalo Sabres and knew that we would have to go visit the home of the original Buffalo Wing the Anchor Bar in Buffalo, NY. I was surprised that the place was filled with Habs fans but it was and they were all there for a reason to sample the great food, beer and atmosphere that this place has to offer. We sat down near the bar and ordered some beers to start I had a pint of Blue Moon $7) and she had a pint of Flying Bison $7). Our server, Michael D, was very loud and enthusiastic and made sure that we were taken care of the entire time we were there. For dinner we ordered a double portion of Buffalo Wings $28.99) and a single portion of Honey Garlic wings $15.99) as well as an order of fries $4.69). All of the food was amazing and came heaped in huge portions we couldn't even finish the wings. Later, my wife had a glass of Pinot Grigio $6) and it was a very generous pour. We were there for a few hours, eating and drinking and talking to others hockey fans as the place got busier and busier. Too soon we had to leave for the game but we will always be happy that we stopped by at the home of the original Buffalo Chicken Wing! Thanks for a great time!
We were driving to Niagara Falls for our 10th anniversary and wanted to stop for lunch. The Anchor Bar in Buffalo NY was the first place we thought of. Neither of us had been there before but had heard they had some of the best wings. The décor is fun and amazing to be in. Every where you look you will see something to entertain you. We decided to sit at the bar so we could see the TV. The Masters happen to be on. The bartender (Christopher) was on point the entire time… Handled everyone around the bar and all the drink orders the for entire place. 2 Thumbs up. We ordered wings and white pizza. Both were amazing. I would highly recommend going here!
I keep coming back! Great food, great service, and great atmosphere. The wings are to die for and would highly recommend.
We tried 20 of the original wings, just like she served in ‘64. Very crispy skin and great flavor. I can see why they are famous. A little pricy but a cool experience. 20 is enough for two to split. $30.00 all in.
Went to the Anchor Bar at the Buffalo Airport. Likely the worst margarita I have ever had. Watery, in a plastic cup. The burger was served on plastic plate with plastic utensils. Obviously they are not aware that their name is iconic for Buffalo or don’t care. Cheap (but not inexpensive as the margarita was $15 and nasty. Never again.
