TORi TORi - Japanese Brochette

Came here with my Japanese mother for dinner. She noticed that they cook it in traditional style, on hot coals, and there were many beautiful traditional Japanese touches to decorate. She asked if someone was Japanese in the restaurant and the waitress told us the owner is Japanese. The spits and salads were really delicious, and there were a number of vegetarian options - I got the vegetarian set menu that was delicious and good value for money. Would recommend this place for its cozy atmosphere and good food.

We had read great reviews of this tiny Japanese restaurant and were not disappointed. It is a jewel, easily hidden on a side street in Recoleta. The food was fresh and delicious and perfect. We had the onagiri menu (3 brochettes, two onagiri and...salad), plus also the heart-skewer, soup and a delicious mushroom filled with bacon and cheese. We finished with the beautiful chocolate mousse with marshmallows. It was silky and not sweet. We would have preferred the Marshmallows to be hot and gooey, but it was really delicious, nevertheless. make reservations. We were lucky they could take us, but reservations are important.

This is a great little restaurant in Recoleta. As we are Pescatarians, and it is often difficult to find good vegetarian food here. The Japanese salads were really fresh and good. The spits were also very delicious. And don't miss the homemade Matcha Flan – excellent! The couple that leads the restaurant is absolutely beautiful (the wife Naomi is a professional tango dancer and knows everything you need to know about the tango scene. Staff are very friendly and speak English well for non-Spanish speakers. It is a very small restado make reservations. A great experience! All in all is a great experience.

Loved this intimate little jewel of a restaurant. So difficult to find large Asian foods in Buenos Aires, but that was excellent. Everything was so delicious and fresh. Because the place is so small, reservations are necessary. I'm not a vegetable lover, but her salad... and herbal comb plate were out of this world! Also noteworthy were the rice balls, chicken skin spear, and green tea flan. We visit Buenos Aires every year. This is a new discovery that we will recognize from now on. I love diversity in my meals and these small plates are ideas to share.

I ordered the traditional menu (340 pesos) which included 7 different chicken skewers and a beer. The taste of the food was ok but nothing out of the ordinary. What put me down was the quantity of the food given that relatively high price. The...skewers were super small and were not served with any side dish. You can easily have two of these traditional menus for dinner and still have room for dessert. Speaking of dessert, I then ordered the mouse with marshmallow one for 80 pesos. It was really good, and that's why the place deserves two stars rather than one. I left hungry after paying more than 400 pesos and so I definitely won't be coming back.
