Bidrage med feedbackCheap on ingredients, one of the worst sushi I had. This happens if you don't even have Spivey mayo. Stay away.
I don't eat all fish, but I was surprised by this palate with 3 vegie sushi options that are not common in BA. I like all three. Good prices. have always picked up from here.
Our group of 6 enjoyed a great sushi filled dinner here. As we eat sushi often, the different flavors used here were interesting for BA, but nothing completely new. If you're coming from the states, watch out for cream cheese, they use a lot! But,...if you ask them to take it out they won't have a problem.
The sushi was actually pretty good, but the service was just really bad. It took a solid 10 minutes to get the menu after we sat down. My husband had to go to the bar to get me water because the waiter took so long....Our food took way too long to be made. When it was time to get the check, they took our credit card and never came back. We had to get up and go find our credit card from a different waiter so that we could leave. Totally unorganized and they don't care about the customers.
My friends and I had one last night in Buenos Aires, and we hoped to find a nice Japanese Grandmakase restaurant for dinner. After we tried three places that were either in capacity or closed for the night, we stumbled on sushi pop. His immediate sales function:... it was open and still served food. Who knew this was the miracle of our experience? They told us that the kitchen would be closed in 45 minutes so we should get our order right away. The layout is interesting with Japanese art on the wall and some Japanese objects on shelves around the restaurant. It is very open with a very high ceiling for both seats. The server came to our table and noticed that we were not native speakers Spanish, so we turned to our advantage in English. We tried to order some larger drinks we saw on the tables of other people, and we said these drinks were not available. Perhaps this was due to a language barrier, as we managed to order these larger drinks from another server an hour later. We ordered some appetizers that came out quickly, the Calamri was pretty nice and I can't get to the other appetizers we ordered, but I remember that we swallowed it pretty fast as we were all quite hungry at that point. Next came the long waiting period, our drinks were empty, our appetizers were gone and our server was not where to find. Even if we track them down, we could never track them down. After about an hour or so, we have someone else's attention to ask about our main course, 40 pieces of Maki. She said she would check it and we then ordered another round of drinks, this time we successfully ordered the larger drinks we had asked earlier. Thank God, for that was all we had for the next 45 minutes. After about an hour and 45 minutes we finally got our 40 maki pieces and consumed them quickly. Mostly not because of our hunger at this point because they were something spectacular. Some were made with slices of a baguette instead of rice and overall my assessment would be that they were okay. Surely not worth the long waiting time. After another half an hour of trying to get our bill from the server so we can pay and go, we finally asked them to call us a taxi that she gracefully did for us. If you're stuck in Palermo without any other options, try Sushu-Pop, but it's a big city, I'm suggesting you go somewhere else.
