Just the most wonderful Japanese restaurant we visited in Buenos Aires. Do not let the gloomy entrance or the price tags fool you, the food that will cost you in Ichisou is magical and the environment is beautiful. It's worth every penny. The staff is great and the chefs have gifted their hands. The sushi is super fresh, the rice is delicious. Everything in their menu that we tasted was perfect.
Easily one of the top 3 Japanese restaurants in Buenos Aires. The udon de langostino is my favorite, but I’ve never had anything that was less than excellent. Great to eat in, too. The dining room is an oasis of tranquility, and the waitress couldn’t be better.
This low-key family-run restaurant, founded in 1966, serves traditional Japanese fare. Having been to Japan on three separate occasions, I can confidently say that it would easily stands its own in Osaka or Tokyo. The quality is unsurpassed in Argentina, with a genuine menu that offers some true rarities. The sushi is hands down the best in town and the service is kind and attentive. I recommend visiting Ichisou, it is an outstanding off-the-beaten-path experience. The third generation of the Kano family in Argentina always strive for perfection and it shows.
One of the best for traditional Japanese food.
