Bidrage med feedbackA table for two booked for a Saturday night. The person on the phone sounded relatively boring not harassed only BORED, but hey, maybe I had read the mood over the phone incorrectly. On a side note, Nabeby and I eat a lot,...more after they raised the quarantine. We are carpe diem ing now where is concerned and so booking tables about the phone has become a habit, and that was the first time I felt something negative. Tiny red flag. But in the big life scheme, who cares, right? Anyway, we're in time and I swear, the waiters knew we were there, but they all looked very different. Two even left on their phones while we were patient there. Another red flag. Finally, they decided to make eye contact and led us to our table and gave us a very sticky menu (they did not have the QR code menus. He finally came back and asked us what we wanted and while my husband hesitated, the server decided that we did not speak Spanish. So we got the tourist treatment when they talk to you as if you were mentally deficient and hard to hear, except that we were both very fluent and the order in Spanish is not above our skills. We should have got up, but we were hungry. Well, to make a long story short, waiter said when we asked about the exam, suddenly became super attentive and hit in the slowest Spanish ever that he could add the tip of the final bill himself, explaining how it works, etc. We had to tell him twice that we wanted to type in efectivo. At that time I had enough. When I told my husband about the service, the waiter came back and became confrontative! Very in my face! Seriously? Red flags galore! I know that tourists in Buenos AIres are considered a fair game. But after two and a half years, I find this experience extremely unpleasant. I must stress that the last time I was treated like this was when I was actually a tourist in 2017. Life here taught me that you really deserve a good service and I had this in the restaurants I visited here in Buenos Aires. Except TONIGHT! The restaurant wasn't even full. Regarding food, we had only the main dishes that were excellent. The choice of food is very limited and as for the ambience, the restaurant next to Mooi provided the music. Mooi must seriously train his waiters.
We had a very nice lunch at Mooi. We choose to sit outside although there is indoor air conditioned seating as well. We had the salmon salad with Brie cheese served with a soft boiled egg. The lettuce was fresh and fish and Brie were...great. Our server was friendly and spoke excellent English. My husband also had the carrot cake with cream cheese icing. Although dense he said it was also very good.
We walked all around the different restaurants in the Arc and decide for Mooi because it was less busy and with a formal menu. We thought in having a share cold platter for entrance with a main course for each of us... the waitress suggested...us to take only the platter to share and then we’ll see if we want more food. GREAT SUGGESTION!!! We have the cold platter to share with delicious salmon brochettes, chicken and avocado wraps, excellent cheese and olives. than enough food for 4 adults. We still decide for a bow of fresh fruit and another of grilled fruits for desserts.... excellent choices. We definitely enjoy our visit and we’ll keep this place in mind for our next visit to the Arcs.
There were lunch and breakfast and both options worked perfectly. It is a great choice for casual meals, even for business meetings, if u will sth different. Beautiful atmosphere, consider that it is usually overcrowded. The place is big enough.
The restaurant was very sweet looking, and the dishes approached very well thought, but the execution has room for improvement. Everything sounded tastier when it was actually. Cute place, just ok Food
