General Custard's Last Stand - Buena

We ordered the traditional black and white twist in a pretzel cone, and we ended up with more than we could handle. The portion size was certainly generous! The ice cream melted quickly, likely due to the warm weather, and the soft serve was quite airy. The cone had a slightly stale texture, but despite that, I would definitely stop by again to try something different. The staff were exceptionally friendly, and there's outdoor seating available, which is a nice touch.

The staff is consistently friendly, the premises are very clean, and the ice cream is fantastic. They are also taking exceptional precautions during these uncertain pandemic times.

I give 5 Points Custard five stars! I tried the peanut butter infused chocolate and vanilla ice cream, and it was delicious. Compared to our favorite ice cream spot in Central Jersey (Hoffman's), the portion sizes were generous and the prices were very reasonable. The flavors were impressive, and we would absolutely return while we're in the Vineland area visiting wineries and such. It was a great stop after our trip to the DMV, and it definitely outshone any of the treats we could have gotten at the boardwalk in Atlantic City that evening.

The ice cream is great when they get your order right. However, the last two times I visited, they messed it up. When I asked them to correct it, they wanted me to pay extra. It might be that the new staff aren’t fully trained, but when I order a brownie sundae, I expect hot fudge to be included. When I asked for it, I was told it doesn't come with the sundae. Really? So I’m not getting any at all? Have I been getting it wrong all these years? How much does it cost to add hot fudge? Haha. I ended up leaving.
