Vatra - București

Although the vatra restaurant claims to be traditionally Romanian, the lack of respect for the employees to the customers shows that contrary. my wife and I went to dinner in this restaurant. we ordered beans, sarmale and papanasi. considering that the part of the sarmale... was too big for us (four pieces) we asked the waiter to bring them on two plates, two pieces on each plate. the waiter simply refused to bring us the portions on two tellers who say that he brings us the part of the food as it is (four pieces) and we can do what we want. the same scenario was repeated with the papanasi section which has two pieces. the waiter refused to bring us papanasi on two plates, one on each plate showing the customers the same respect. as a conclusion, eating is the same as in any other restaurant without something really traditional and the service is really revolting. for those who want to know the Romanian traditions about eating and hospitality, the vatra restaurant is the worst choice!

Very nice food. I had the Tochitura mold. Be prepared to choose this dish, Kaise it is a mouthful devotion. Something tastes very good!

Fantastic food, huge variety of traditional Romanian dishes. Vegan friendly! Excellant quality and very reasonably priced.

Just finished an excellent dinner at Vatra. Went for traditional fare and it did not disappoint: cabbage rolls, delicious. Tripe soup, succulent. Pork belly, OMG. We risked death by gluttony when we finished the Romanian doughnuts, but we thought worth the risk (it paid off ....All spectacular, but it would have been the same without our friend Raj (Pershan . His smile, attitude and recommendations were all spot on. Thanks Vatra, and thanks Raj! We had a ball and we will return!:

After a week in bukarest and many sodburn, we finally found this eating hidden precious stone. fresh, high quality, genuinely good taste, excellent service are just a few immediately observable qualities of this finally no tourist trap. to make sure it wasn't just a... accident, we repeated the experience. the same great service and eat every time. best food in caucarest.
