Muse Bistro - București

This is a cozy and quiet place and perfect for some brunch/lunch. The menu is different, but the stuff should be better prepared and polite.

The place was first OK (although I always looked at the prices a bit too high for the food itself), but after changing the menu, I could not find a single decent course on their menu. I made the mistake of trying the risotto with a kind of salt cheese that just tasted terrible and everyone at the table agreed that it cannot be eaten. Revolutionary cuisine does not mean that you put a piece of garbage on a plate and call it food.

I often went to this place when I worked nearby, and I was very happy with both the food and the services. I was recently there for a working Sunday brunch. It said on her website and on her... Facebook opens them at 11:00, so I was at 11:00 sharp, in front of the square. It also said 11:00 at her doorstep, and two of my international staff arrived immediately. The staff sat outside on the street terrace of the place, smoked cigarettes and was very covered and said they were not yet open. We were stupid enough to wait ten minutes in the car, went back, and were surprised to see more of the staff who kept the place closed, and smoking relaxed their cigarettes while coffee on the horror. I asked when they would open up and without any kind of courtesy at all, they seemed rather mad at the question and were like... maybe in 20 minutes... . I get used to bad services in Romanian restaurants and cafes, but this attitude beats many I have seen.

The only place in Bucharest for great food and great service. When I say food in Bucharest I mean MUSE :

Went to Muse Bistro for lunch with friends. Food was excellent, amazingly tasty and good portion. Classy presentation and friendly staff.
