Cafe Cossachok - Bryukhovetskaya

This time the menu was a little different from before. Better I would say. All condiments were served separately in little bowls at the side of the main dish. We were trying to take our friends to somewhere a 'little different '. They were very impressed by the decor, especially the rug-suspended ceiling. The food was as delicious as we expected. We will definately return.

When the entree I wanted was not available because they did not have duck that evening I asked if the chief could do it with chicken and it was a complete success .

We enjoyed a tasty and interesting pre-theatre dinner at the Russian Cafe. We started with some vodkas from their amazing range. The grass/herb vodka was particularly flavourful. The food was very good: interesting, tasty, plentiful and different. We'd go there again.

It was a wet and windy Thursday night so I'm not surprised the restaurant was a little quiet but that didn't spoil our enjoyment. The restaurant serves up just the kind of comfort food you that want to eat on that kind of evening. I'll be sure to visit again sometime.

All four of us enjoyed the whole meal and will recommend to anyone interested in a little Russian adventure, plenty of choice for vegetarians too!
