Joshua's Tavern - Brunswick

Joshua was quite busy at 2:15 PM, but we were able to get a table, likely due to the close-to-90-degree heat outside. The food was good; my companion ordered the Thai chicken sluice, which he enjoyed, though it was spicier than he expected. The fresh shredded carrots and cucumber in the dish helped balance out the heat. I had the garden salad with shrimp, which came with a generous portion of shrimp—thank you! It was a refreshing and crisp starter on a hot day. The service was good, although it took a few minutes for us to receive the menus after we were seated. As vintage and kitsch collectors and self-proclaimed history enthusiasts, we both appreciated the decor. We would definitely return for an enjoyable time!

I stopped by for some Bloody Marys and pizza, and both were excellent. The restaurant is very dog-friendly, and our server, Cyren, was outstanding. As full-time travelers, we don't often get to treat ourselves, but this place exceeded our expectations. I’m truly grateful for the remarkable experience. The terrace was lovely, and the atmosphere inside was also wonderful. Thank you for the great service, delicious food, and tasty drinks!

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant due to the poor service. The server seemed completely disinterested in our table and was quite inattentive. Her demeanor was lackluster and unwelcoming. When we encountered an issue with our meal, it was difficult to locate her, and it took over 10 minutes for her to return to our table after we clarified the situation. To top it off, she hovered over me while I was paying on the tablet, which made me uncomfortable, especially when it came time to add a tip. Overall, it was not a pleasant dining experience.

We ate at joshua’s dinner tonight. ende juni 2022. we go through the return to home from Canada. So we decided to spend the night and continue tomorrow. we found joshuas on line and decided to give them an attempt. the restaurant is a beautiful pub with a central bar and tables before and back. I saw a beautiful kamin and a popcorn machine. but we decided to eat in front of the terrace. I don't remember the names of our waitress. but she was kind and did good work. she had lobster and I had scallops. eating was pretty good. have I done it better? I'd say that, but that was pretty good. would I come back when in the city? yes. that was a nice meal, served by a very nice person. do not eat the cheapest I ever had. but also not expensive. in my opinion, joshua’s is worth a try.

This is a very nice tavern with a very pleasant staff. Recommend this place for a lunch stop.
