Bidrage med feedbackThis is the standout for me in Lake Como! Everything here is top notch! Service, view, ambience, food, you name it. We dined here twice for dinner during our 3 night stay. We took the funicular (cable car) to the top of the mountain and found this restaurant. There is indoor and outdoor seating and both offer the spectacular views. The first time we ate here, we sat outside. As the evening went on, it started to get chilly. They rolled down the transparent wind blocker shades which really helped cut down on the chilly wind. . The food is really good and the prices are reasonable for this type of restaurant. The menu posted at the entrance isn't updated ask for the current menu if you want to preview it. The first night I ordered the pappardelle pasta with duck sauce. It's not a duck sauce but rather, pasta with huge chunks of duck! The duck was so tender and seasoned perfectly. There is no gamey taste at all, which can sometimes happen with duck. On my second visit, I ordered the lasagna with béchamel sauce. It is very different from the lasagna I'm used to. It is not tomato based and it is round instead of square! It's cooked with a light creamy, almost sweet sauce. It was delicious! Others enjoyed the truffle ravioli and the steak.
We came upon Ristorante Bellavista by accident and we're drawn in mainly by the view, which is astonishing. The excellent food and wine made this an all-round fantastic experience. The staff could not have been better: we were well looked after and everyone was delightful. We had the cold meat and cheese platter along with two different pastas and a bottle of wine. All were superb. We then had desserts – millefoglie and the carpaccio of pineapple – to die for! Not cheap, but absolutely worth it.
Cheese platter good, salad ok. Main: inadequate! Fish without flavor, no salt or pepper or anything else. A few raw inelegant vegetables, arranged haphazardly. Spoke to th owner, a recipe from his grandmother. I suggested she couldn’t cook! 25€. Not fine dining by any stretch of th imagination! Just taking th micky!
The coat. He ordered the tortelli di toma, and was a somewhat larger ravioli with a pine needle. It is strongly polemic.
I was in this restaurant with friends. after a good mix of appetizers between various meats and cheeses, we ate a little excellent before. very well also personal sweets attentive, kind and courteous.
