Marks Spencer - Broxbourne

We frequent this cafe nearly every day. The coffee is excellent and the staff is fantastic, but recently they switched the bread for toast to sourdough. While some may enjoy this change, we personally do not and are disappointed that we are not provided with a choice. It is especially frustrating considering that Marks and Spencer sells a variety of bread in the food hall adjacent to the cafe, so there doesn't seem to be a sourcing issue.

I had a £69.50 credit note that expired 4 days ago. I contacted M&S customer services and explained that I had been self-isolating and couldn't use the credit note online or get to the store. I was told that most stores would honor it since it had only expired recently. However, when I went to the Brookfields branch and explained the situation to a manager, she refused to honor it, citing the government's lack of a year-long lockdown as a reason. Despite my explanation of my vulnerability and need to isolate, she insisted the note had expired and couldn't be used. I was disappointed by this rigid and unhelpful customer service and won't be returning to this store or accepting any credit notes in the future, especially since they can only be spent in-store. I suggest that M&S managers receive training in customer relations and adapt to the times.

Visit every Friday after shopping for lunch . If you find a table you have to clear it away and the choice off sandwiches need a change better choice in food hall and the teapots need a good clean or new ones

I went to the cafe, which had a spacious seating area. I was disappointed to find out that the avocado on sourdough toast was only available for breakfast. They had a wide variety of clothing and shoes for sale as well.

I went to the cafe in M and S only because it was convenient, even though I was somewhat disappointed last time. Regrettably, there has been no improvement, in fact it was worse. It took the staff 9 minutes to clear the used crockery from the next table. The floor wasn't swept and the dropped bits and pieces were still there when we left. On top of that, the coffee isn't up to much either.
