Sams's Southern Eatery - Brownwood

The restaurant has a nice ambiance and feels like it's just getting established. The food was quite good, and the staff were friendly, consistently checking in with all the customers. Overall, I would rate the food a 5 out of 5.

The food is overpriced, especially when you don't receive what you ordered. I placed a takeout order on Friday evening and drove home to Coleman. Once I sat down to eat, I discovered that the oysters were missing from my meal (I had ordered the combo with 3 fish, 3 shrimp, and 3 oysters). Aside from the fact that one-third of my order was missing, the food was decent. The service was slow, but I suppose that's expected on a Friday night.

Had good potential to start but a bad fried oyster ruined my dinner and night. I think they will mature and become a great spot. Good luck.Food: 1/5

We just came here for the first time and the food and service was excellent! Everything was hot and fresh and the portions were great. Will definitely be stopping here more often when I'm in the area and recommend to others. As a bonus they had cheesecake today and it had to be one of the best Ive tried. The only thing that I would recommend is to add a baby changing table in the restroom for convenience. Thanks again! Hope they get lots more business.
