Sandy's Place - Broussard

The chicken, rice, and yams were decent, and the service was exceptional. In Cajun Country, I'd consider it satisfactory, but it's not going to impress you by any means. The food is served quickly, but it might not be the highest quality.

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant and definitely won’t be returning or recommending it to anyone. I ordered the grilled catfish and shrimp, which came with fries and a salad. Unfortunately, I didn’t check my plate before leaving and got caught up with work. When I finally sat down to eat, I found that the fish was broken into pieces and scattered throughout the box, making it hard to tell if I even had a full portion. There was even a piece mixed in with the salad, and they had added the dressing instead of serving it on the side. To make matters worse, the fries and shrimp were both cold. I chose not to reach out to the restaurant because I felt it wouldn’t make a difference. They clearly knew how to prepare the order properly before handing it over for pick-up.

This hidden gem was fantastic! I stopped by for lunch while in Broussard and was not disappointed at all. I had a hard time deciding what to order because everything looked incredible. They offer daily plate lunches and specials, along with a menu featuring burgers, po'boys, and more. I ended up choosing the fried shrimp po'boy, and I was amazed by its size and how well it was prepared. The prices are quite reasonable, and the service was excellent. I highly recommend this place. It's super clean, serves great food, and has impeccable service. You can't go wrong here!

First time here. I ordered the hamburger with cheese. What I loved about the burger is that it was well done and still juicy, which is how I love them to be. The burger was seasoned well. The bun was lightly toasted. It was a good burger, not the best burger, but good. I would enjoy returning and trying some of their other food next time that I am in the area. I saw some of the plate lunches others had and they looked good!
