Hardee’s - Brookville

When I first reviewed this Hardee's I gave it a five star review. Now being an employee of this business for a little while my thoughts are completely changing. This Hardee's is sick! Its to the point where a customer orders a kids meal I am generally scared to serve children this food! The lettuce tomato and other add on items are left out all day never changed. They serve items that have sat out for 3 shifts. The lettuce is slimy and warm and they don't care they still will slap it on your burger. The food isn't covered what so ever. The burgers and chicken set in a warmer for hours after being made because the broiler is always down and broke so they make a bunch of Patty's on the grill all at once and hold them for hours. There for nothing is fresh except the buns.. well half the time the buns are stale to because they aren't ever closed up. The chicken station is a complete mess and the breading isn't sifted through out the day so there's old chicken in the breading which could literally make someone sick. Also the egg wash is never changed through out the day. They make new labels just in case the health department comes in but they do not change anything. They don't ever change the sanitizer buckets they clean with the same rags and sanitizer all day which causes cross contamination. I've never seen an employee wash their hands they just change gloves. Last night I walked out and quit because they want to call me a night shift manager but allow all of these things to go on and I refuse to be responsible for a customer getting sick over bad food or cross contamination. I am truly terrified a child or an elderly person is going to become very sick after eating here. I understand the GM can't be everywhere at once but it comes with training. There are a lot of teens working their first jobs here and are just improperly trained. Management needs to train new employees instead they have teenagers training New employees and most of the teens weren't trained correctly so it's getting worse by the day. Honestly this place has so much potential, and the GM as well as the assistant manager are both very smart individuals and both have great intentions but I don't think they are grasping the problem here it all comes down to training as I said most employees here are teens and this is their first job they need guidance and someone to tell them why cleaning and replacing/changing out old items is so important. I seriously hope the GM can get this place together before someone gets sick but it takes a team not just a GM. Good Luck Hardee's!

I was wanting to comment on my sausage egg cheese muffin, it was damn good!!! I'll get that again. Lil bit of a wait but very good. It was great food, but clearly under staffed when you have to wait about 10 minutes before getting your food. Not to mention, the pictures outside the building are so old that the picture of the biscuits looks like someone welding something. The only reason I knew it was a biscuit was because it said that in the printed words. Update needs done and definitely more staff members. Also, why did you guys discontinue the onion rings?! This is the closest Hardee's to us. We have stopped here a few times. The food is always good. I got the mushroom Swiss burger and he got the Frisco burger. At this visit the get it yourself drink machine was down and the tables needed cleaning. The girl that waited on us was nice. We even had hot fries (plus). It is in with a gas station so it's small. But don't let that stop you. They have a drive-thru too. Service: Dine in
