Bidrage med feedbackThis was not the original restaurant that I had visited in recent years at some different locations. it seems to be under new management. it was somewhat disappointed by the wine list, the menu and the actual quality of the food. service was very friendly.
Waitress did not know either the drinks or dinner menu and made no effort to provide answers that simple questions such as “Do you have iced tea?”. We then orrdered 2 sodas and 2 salads with shrimp. The sodas were flat. We were overcharged for the salads a price different then the menu and upon bringing it to the waitress’s attention she responded “It’s not me fault”. Getting the bill corrected took 20 minutes. This appears that be a cool looking place but the service was terrible, food was average. Given the many other dining options in this neighborhood we will not be returning.
Pretty place and nice servers but the young vibe, which is nice to watch, can get in the way of easy conversation. And the kitchen repeatedly sent out the wrong orders. They were good though!
We were looking for a simple meal not far from the Barclay's Center. The food was pretty good, but we didn't venture into the unknown at all. A pizza and a salad for two. The service was horrible. Our waiter was inattentive. When he did finally pay some attention to us, he was incredibly slow. My husband ordered a second drink (neat, on the rocks). It took 15 minutes to get that drink. I could see the bar from our table. It was not busy. Then, to pay the bill, it took another ten minutes. In defense of the staff at Lady's, however, all the other servers and personnel seemed to be on the ball. One server heard us talking about the check and came over to try to help. Our waiter already had the check, so it was a moot point, but she did try. The gentleman who sat us initially, also was tiptop. Nice man.
We'd been to Lady's before, almost a year ago around the time it opened. The menu had changed and the excellent pasta enjoyed the first time around was no longer prominent on the menu and the cocktails had changed to a selection that skewed more on the sweet side. The pizzas we're alright, we just weren't in the mood for pizza. I think it was a special occasion, but the music was very loud as well. There was a DJ and while the choice of music was great, it was simply too loud. Or at least too loud for an 8pm-ish dinner. I could see the music getting louder as the night went on and the dinner rush was calming down, but walking into a dinner at 8pm and being able to feel the bass in my chest and barely hear the people at the table with me was a little disappointing. The restaurant itself is still very nice inside and the lighting was a little brighter than when we originally came, which was fine (we could actually see our food better). Service was great, waiters were attentive and on top of everything. All in all, we went expecting to have a casual, intimate dinner with good pasta options but instead were eating in a much louder space with a pizza centric menu. Not necessarily bad, just unexpected. We would certainly go back, just with much different expectations in mind.
