Ichiran - Brooklyn

I was very pleasantly surprised. It's one of those place where you hand in a paper through a window and don't need to interact with anyone nor see other people who are there to eat. The flavor was my favorite of all the pork ramen I've had so far.

The food at this restaurant is delicious, but I am somewhat disappointed that the eggs served with the dish are not Ramen eggs. Ramen eggs are one of the best parts of a ramen dish, so I was surprised they were not included.

You are going for the soup and noodles. The broth is very excellent as are the noodles. Vegetable or pork that's it. I had the vegetable. I will go back and see if it's vegetarian at some point. Seating is seperate in individual booths that you can combine in a row until after 7, when the dinning area opens.

I ordered the basic tonkatsu ramen for takeout at this restaurant. It was decent for takeout ramen, but below average for a $20 bowl of ramen. The broth was very salty, which I personally liked. The noodles were average and there weren't many toppings included. I wouldn't recommend getting the soft boiled egg here as it wasn't soy marinated and I had to peel it myself, which was difficult. The food was prepared quickly and the delivery order was accurate. Overall, it was an average experience.
