Return to Gran Sasso on our annual trip to Brooklyn for the International Chief Congress. We weren't dropped. Mr. Sasso and the staff made us feel like we were back home for dinner. The kitchen is rustically beautiful and the service excellently friendly and up to the earth. Wines on the list obviously chosen with love and a skillful palate.

We love Sasso. The staff is friendly and attentive — it would be impossible for the staff and owner to be more welcoming, and the food is consistently lovely. It is an undiscovered gem in the neighborhood, its location off the worn paths leading fewer to discover it. It is our favorite restaurant in the neighborhood, hands down.

Sat outside on a warm fall evening. Very pleasant night. The food was great as was our server.
