Bidrage med feedbackThere was only one worker in the shop but she was very patient with each customer, and super friendly. I asked to try both the banoffee and the cardamom. Both were absolutely delicious! The banana flavor came through so well, especially the fresh, ripe banana scent. The cardamom flavor was also fragrant, but not overwhelming. Both flavors tasted super fresh and were very creamy, and not overly sweet. I liked that it was more of a soft than hard texture. There is a back patio which is super nice, has a good amount of seating, and even has hanging lights which would be nice at night time. Overall the ambiance is really great, and I recommend it to anyone in the area, especially as it's a short walk to the park.
Finally got to try this place after being in the neighborhood. They have unique flavors like rose and bread. Got a double size of banana cream pie and pistachio almondine. Cup was kinda small for a price of almost $10. Ice cream is good quality but giving three stars because of the value you get for money. Bananas cream pie flavor was delicious but pistachio almondine was a bit gritty. Place has ample seating indoor, outside on street and there is also a charming backyard area when the weather is nice. They also serve coffee and pastries.
We came here on a Saturday afternoon after we noped out on The Social Brooklyn's super packed line... and they do a pretty good job here! Only one lady was running the shop at the time but the flow of customers were steady so the wait was standard. I got the pistachio and matcha flavor. The matcha was strong and pistachio had much of an almond taste with real pistachio chunks in it. I took one star off due to the portion value since it was quite small.. however, it was cool that they do orders for split singles. I haven't seen that anywhere else! We finished our ice cream in the outdoor patio and noticed all the beachy vibes, which suits the coming season well.
An Affogato! Oh. my. Lord. (clasps two hands together in praise) Idk who invented it. But man. That fact that espresso and icecream together is a thing. Just THRILLS me! And so one of my beautiful younger sisters is darker skinned with long silky hair and once upon a time worked in an Italian bakery in her early teens. She is now a new mom in the area fitting right in with her little baby carrier blanket over her shoulder breastfeeding combo just like all the moms where on Saturday when we passed by. We parked across the street while headed to the nearby farmers market and I secretly planned to surprise my teens who joined us, with icecream on the way back. As sisters we enjoyed a moment of pure nostalgia in this bright icecream shop on a Saturday afternoon with our children. I used to live a block away and only miss moments like these. Nothing beats a beautiful Saturday on Underhill and this place just makes the neighborhood so sweet. While the kids ordered icecream in waffle cones I explored the back and the place is super spacious with outdoor seating that is just so quaint. The women who assisted were stellar letting the kids try samples while making THEE absolute BEST iced coffee for me. The way joy burst into my heart! I should have asked what roast it was but I was just FLOORED when I found out they had affogato! One of my kids managed to drink half my coffee when I became hopelessly distracted in the memory of when I was young and I discovered my taste buds had matured and changed so much just like my sister and I had. The one thing that will never change is my passion for coffee and icecream separately and sometimes together. If you are here to complain about the price- don 't buy expensive icecream everyday- but. But when you do... Buy it here and hopefully it will be on a lovely day where you can enjoy the full beauty of the space and just indulge. The icecream is creamy and smooth and perfect and they have vegan options as well as pints to go. Enjoy.
I order a matcha and vanilla ice cream and it tasted very good and fresh. The service was very friendly and seem like a nice to be in.
