Battery Harris - Brooklyn

Very nice and down to earth 90s retro surf-theme bar. Great outdoor seating area with small and large tables and ample sun or shade. Menu is very straight forward with the basics and a few frills. Food quality is solid and tasty. Overall 4/5.

Unsure why this place only has a mediocre rating! I came here on a quiet Monday night because of the Diner's Deck cards that we got as a White Elephant gift, thanks Jeff Alina! We were extremely excited to try this place out because of its Caribbean food and chill vibes. I lived in the neighborhood for so long and never visited, only when I moved out I find this gem. The staff were really nice and we could sit wherever we wanted considering it was pretty much empty. It was dark and the atmosphere truly helped me enjoy a relaxing quiet dinner. We got a booth on the right side when you entered. On the table they had interesting sauces for your food. We ordered the steak taco battery burger spicy jamaican jerk wings curried veggie baked patty I enjoyed the steak taco, but the steak pieces were a bit too big for a taco I was almost choking myself b/c it was so difficult to chew. The battery burger was fresh and delicious cooked to perfection of medium rare. The Jerk wings were definitely our favorite. They put fresh chives on top it didn't necessary taste like JERK chicken, but a good refreshing spin on it it tasted more Asian with a zing. The veggie patty was interesting, but would have had more of the taco instead. I cant wait until it's warmer to chill and hangout here! A satisfying meal indeed!

Awesome brunch! Definitely my new favorite place in the hood. Can't say anything bad. Service is good, atmosphere is very chill with patio and outdoor area. 15usd brunch any plate, **** Mary coffee! Boom! Perfect!

Great bar! It has a laid-back atmosphere and a nice selection of draft beers.

We were one of only two tables in the place, yet we were still grilled about why our food took so long—almost 30 minutes. One of our meals came out completely wrong, and we had to wait an additional 20 minutes for the correct order to arrive, which was still not hot. It was quite scandalous; had the food been served hot, it might have redeemed our meal somewhat. The restaurant has a cozy, small-town vibe, but there was no real love put into the food. Would we consider returning? Only if we could be guaranteed that the food would arrive promptly and fresh.
