Arepa Lady - Brooklyn

This small facility in the dekalb market has delicious arepas. I had a simple cheese and although I would have preferred to be completely melted, it was very delicious.

Wow. Really disappointed. This was my go to lunch spot for vegan arepas. I was shocked today to discover my usual $8 order is now $13. A vegan arepa is literally just black beans, avocado and plantains. I get inflation but this is beyond excessive considering my order is so few ingredients. Sorry to say I won't be back.

We heard of this little food market from someone who worked in the area and we decided to stop by for lunch and we’re so happy we did. What a cute little area with so much variety of food vendors. I decided to get the shredded beef patacon and was blown away by the quality, portion and price.

Ordered a simple arepa de queso and waited…and waited…and waited, only to discover that the order, “Never rang in the kitchen.” Everyone else’s orders were prepared and delivered. No attempt to make amends from the counter guy.

My family and I ordered a bunch of stuff to share and Arepa Lady was definitely our favorite! We had the shredded chicken and cheese arepa and OMG amazing! Loved the sweet arepa. I would totally go back! There are other items on the menu I'd like to try too like the patacon! I highly recommend Arepa Lady!
