Bidrage med feedbackI would give this place zero stars if I could. My boyfriend and I are passionate vegans, so we were excited to try this ice cream shop for the first time. There are not many vegan options in our neighborhood, so we were eager to find a place that caters to our lifestyle. Unfortunately, the customer service we received was incredibly poor. When we arrived at Scoops around 9:30, the man behind the counter rudely informed us that they were closed (but then said he would still serve us). When we asked a simple question about the portion size, his response was incredibly condescending. Despite the disrespect, we decided to purchase the ice cream anyway. Before we left, my boyfriend politely expressed our disappointment with the way we were treated. We were shocked and disappointed by his behavior towards paying customers. We will continue our search for a vegan ice cream spot that not only serves delicious treats but also values customer service and respect.
Make sure you check everything you get because I got the impression that the owner thinks honey is vegan. I learned that the hard way when I came home and I read on the label of the ginger beer that I got it contains honey, yak!
On the walk in... Not very friendly. Ice cream is good but Tofutti has always been good... nothing special. Not to many food options. What they do have is ok. DONT ASK TO MANY QUESTIONS, you may not get an answer to all. I just wish Vegans Choice in crown heights had more locations!! -try them food is bomb!
No hello or thanks. I went out. Honey on the menu but they say they serve only vegan foods
At the celebration of the National Ice Cream Day I write about Scoops Ice Cream Parlor, which is all about its milk-free ice cream and its vegan Caribbean-style comfort food. If it is available, get the Calaloo, my favorite. Get it on a bed of rice and peas or on black rice, with one side of black-eyed peas or lentils. If the Kalaloo is not available, I got the stuffed fish steak. Every single dish I had was as good as “dang, that was a really good meal” level satisfying. I needed a while to realize Scoops was more than an ice shop and now that I know it has become a neighborhood spot. I promise I will actually get her ice cream one of those days.
