Painters' - Brookhaven

Blue Moon did not taste fresh and wasn't that cold at all. BLT burger was good.

This was our first visit to Painters. After a great show at Gateway we stopped for diner. Funky open wood beamed decor many eclectic paints. Started with two Vodka Martines excellent. Followed be a wedge salad, which we split. Entree I had Chef Rocco's shrimp with angle hair pasta, capers etc delicious. My wife had a blackened chicken sandwich with crispy sweet potato fries. Served with 3 sauces. Everything was excellent. Our water was very friendly and informative. We will be back at our next performance at the Gateway.

My entree was delicious, but our appetizers came out after dinner was served.

Worst experience we have ever had in a restaurant. We brought family for Fathers Day, 5:30 reservation for a party of 5. Took one hour to get our appetizers. Then by hour 2, we kept asking about our food. The waitress said there was an issue in the kitchen. We pointed out that 3 tables that came in after us got their food. She said” well if you could go back in time and order salads or quesadillas, you would have gotten your food'” We asked to speak with a manager who never came and we were told he was dealing with issues in the kitchen. We got our check for apps and drinks and left.No apology or offer to make it right. Basically ruined our Fathers Day dinner. I will never return. I waitressed for years. This place is amateur hour. Spend you money elsewhere,

Had a shrimp cocktail and when the shrimp came it was overcooked. Staff was great
