Surin West - Brook Highland

Nice spot, was close to our hotel so tried it out, very satisfied, delicious meal my sashimi was fresh and wife's curry dish was outstanding.

First time here in a long while. Last time I visited, I could tell the place was declining in several areas. Seems like that trend has continued since. Definitely not the “It” place it used to be. Everything here was just Meh. Food was good. Service and atmosphere was very much lacking. No energy anywhere.

Great place for lunch!! The BBQ chicken is my favorite.

Good food. Pad thai is the standard for which I compare thai… the calamari was light and fluffy but not my fave style… its in a cute enough area, but a lot of homeless, and lack of parking.

I have eaten many times over the years at Surin West and lately every time I ask myself “with all the options why would I eat here?. Tonight was no exception.I ordered food through Uber Eats but called the restaurant directly and asked that hot mustard and soy sauce be included. The person that answered was very pleasant but he failed to do what was promised. The next issue was the brown rice that was ordered was just over half full (see pic). I was prepared to throw the whole order (thinking the food had been tampered) but the manager advised that was how the order is made. Frankly that is absurd given you pay extra!I finally decided to eat the food and it was average at best. I bought a chicken vegetable dish and a soup. Both very bland…almost like food you would get in a school lunchroom.It took a few lessons for me to realize that Surin West is simply average and nothing more. The food tonight cost $42 (more expensive since ordering through Uber) and it was certainly not worth it. No more Surin West for me!
