Nanny's Kitchen - BRONX

Do not order the grits from this restaurant if you are looking for a creamy texture. They tasted old and reminiscent of cardboard. The yams were hard and undercooked, possibly out of a can or not cooked thoroughly. However, the fish was delicious and perfectly seasoned. Unfortunately, I was too disappointed with the grits and yams to take a picture.

While waiting for my partner to come out of the doctor's office, I decided to try the food at this restaurant. As someone who loves food, I ordered the fish and shrimp combo with string beans and yams. I can confidently say that I will be back. The fish was wonderfully light and flavorful, and I felt like I was in food heaven. Two ladies were inside having a great conversation, and overall, the food was delicious.

If you're craving fried fish, I recommend checking out this restaurant. The staff here are incredibly friendly and the food is just as good. They are open late on Saturdays but closed on Sundays. The fish is perfectly crispy and not greasy at all. It's also not overly seasoned, which I think is just right.

Thelma did her big one with this. Catfish and Shrimp was valid asl fr very tasty. Fries was a little too salty for me but still pretty good. Great eats overall!
