Jake's Steakhouse - BRONX

Eating is okay for the price. my steak was missing from taste, but the maische kartoffeln were amazing. the appetizers were not the price honest, it tasted like frozen eating. their drinks were pretty good. the restaurant is an intimate ambiente illuminated with dimmed candle. good for date night. not child-friendly.

A wonderful hidden gem, prepare to go on some steps to a dim-lit beautiful room with friendly staff. we will return!

Jake’s Steakhouse for a New Year’s Day celebration was an excellent choice. The food was delicious—as always! The roast asparagus was done just perfectly—so often it’s either over of underdone. The shell steak au jus was delicious and a perfect medium. The garlic mashed potatoes couldn’t have been better. Apple crumble with ice ream made for an excellent dessert. The cocktails, however, were a tad weak—good but not great. Overall, we were very happy with our experience, and would highly recommend Jake’s. As for us, we’ll definitely be returning!

Been to Jake's MANY times over the past years because the steaks were great and the prices were below the steak chains. This time: steaks above average and prices, using credit, were similar to the chains so not as a great a value.
