Cocktails Are a No No! Whilst this is a great place for a cheap drink they have absolutely no idea how to do cocktails. Their new 'salted caramel white russian ' is no more than an, 'iced coffee '. Awful!!

I went back to the Richmal Compton today. All the guest beers had changed to another great selection. Kish gave me one to taste. I chose the Lancaster Brewery Kish carried them to an outside table for me. He was very polite, helpful and cheerful. A Barman. The beer photographed was very fresh, delicious and hoppy.

Denied entry at 1125pm on Friday 16.9.23 even though it says it closes at 1230am on your website Asked to see manager who repeated same story said by staff security that last entry is 11pm on a Friday but closing time is 1230am for only those who are inside. Place had less than 50% capacity inside Is it not better to state on your site that last entry is 11pm so that we do not make plans then be left high dry outside denied entry? Am I missing something here? If I am please explain so I understand

What a dump Followed to the toilet by a male staff member No one in the pub as staff pacing up and down and rude , Feels like a police station not a pub with guards watching paying customers Staff all on radios and walk-in talkies Told to leave as was apparently talking about a subject they don’t want to hear Manager useless like a kid threatened to hit me Outside people saying don’t go in there the staff are horrible in there Had reviews on here before re racism seems nothing has changed and now following women to the toilet Watching people who don’t participate in illegal stuff Get yourselves sorted Bought a lemonade and was watched like a convict

Came here on a quiet afternoon. Pub is huge with outdoor seating, so no problem getting a table. Beer and food prices are really good value for money. Service was good and my burger was fine. Passed it later on and it was packed. Very popular and no wonder with those prices.
