The Artful Duke - BROMLEY

The Artful Duke is a really nice establishment to hang out with family and friends, it draws quite a large crowd but not at all loud or lairy. Really glad they've separated the dining and drinking area too, as it's more comfortable if you're there with family at the front. Bar staff were excellent and food served quickly. The only thing they could do with is more staff to take orders at tables, but apart from that, great evening.

On New Year's Day, the service was quite slow, taking around an hour and requiring a lot of effort. Additionally, some items from our order were missed, even though they were listed on the receipt. While some of the dishes were excellent, the vegan board was rather bland. However, there weren't many restaurants open that could accommodate our group of eight!

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. While the service staff were very friendly, the pace was incredibly slow. We found ourselves having to get up several times to place our food order, request condiments, ask for the dessert menu, and even settle the bill. The food itself was quite basic and lacked appealing presentation. Additionally, there was a strong, unpleasant odor reminiscent of eggs or possibly blocked drains that lingered throughout our visit. The decor was lovely, which made it all the more frustrating. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this place.

They couldn't find my reservation, so they improvised and seated me at a table in the back, which was meant for another purpose and had an unpleasant odor.
