The Blue Rooster - Broken Bow

This restaurant was simply amazing! My husband is a huge fan of Southern cuisine, so discovering this charming spot was a real delight! Both the interior and exterior are adorable, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The service was excellent, and the food? Just phenomenal! The fried dishes were crispy without being greasy. We ordered Po Boys, sides, drinks, and of course, the fried pie, and we enjoyed every single bite! I highly recommend this place; it was absolutely worth every penny, and we had a fantastic time dining there!

I had the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer and the shrimp basket with a side salad, along with some iced tea. The food was good, but I left after spending over $30 and adding a $5 tip. I thought that was a bit pricey for lunch, but I guess it is a resort town. I had never tried fried green tomatoes before, and they were cooked well, but I realized they're not really to my taste. I prefer deep-fried pickle slices!

The food and service were outstanding! We ordered the homemade chicken and dumplings, and they were absolutely delicious. I thought it was a bit strange that the salad was served in a plastic container, but it still tasted great. The mac and cheese was incredibly good—definitely a must-try! I highly recommend this place. The bartender also made me a blueberry mule, which I really enjoyed. It’s a charming little spot, and I truly loved it. Breakfast the next morning was fantastic as well!

My husband and I ate here and had an awesome experience! Started off with the fact that we got to color on the table cloth. Our waitress was great. I really didn 't know what beverage I wanted but I told her I wanted something alcoholic and peachy. Shecalled one of the other ladies over and I explained again what I wanted. She came back with a drink that was amazing! I endedup having two if them. I told her she needed to name it and she asked my name and said she would name it Sarahs . The food wasawesome too. Definitely recommend this place!!
